How do we stop our children eating sugary food

a comment has been posted about avoiding sugary foods.

This isnt an easy one to solve but we should look at our own eating habits to see what message we are passing onto our children. If they see us having sugar as a Treat food then that is what they will do. Maybe consider having other foods as Treat foods. try some fruits such as cherries , kiwis, apricots as special foods. Consider having hummus with carrot and celery sticks as a fun food. Have oat cakes as the biscuit equivalent. Allow some sweet foods but if you aim for good balanced blood sugar ( eating every 2/3 hours) your child is less likely to have sugar cravings.
