Shisha e-pens

Does anyone know anything about these shisha e-pens that seem to be the latest teen craze? I caught my son out as the bathroom was smelling of sweets (fruit flavour). He claims there is no nicotine, tobacco or any additives in them. I did a little research and apparently smokers use them to help give up, but teenagers seem to be using them as well. There can be varying amounts of nicotine in them. He is claiming the ones he bought on ebay only contain the glucose syrup. That would figure, with his sweet tooth, but how can I be sure? :unsure:
