Registering with UCAS.com is really helpful. I found a section on the site which states:

For undergraduate courses some universities and colleges also use UCAS Tariff points in their entry requirements.

Many applicants have a broad range of further education qualifications, so the Tariff converts them into points to make it easier to compare them. Not all qualifications are included in the Tariff. Those that aren’t, but are of an appropriate level, might still be considered so contact the course provider to check.
Universities and colleges can set a Tariff points total they recommend you achieve as part of their entry requirements.
Many courses don’t refer to the Tariff, and of those that do, most still specify relevant grades, qualifications or subjects you’d need to achieve as well as the points total.

The UnIs my son and I been looking at have all stated specific grades ie AAB or ABB in their entry requirements to specific courses. Just to labour the point, check out each course as they all have their own individual requirements.

    It’s scary isn’t it!

There was a programme on a couple of nights ago about food and drink and the reason why your head pulses with a hangover is because of the blood vessels dilating and you end up hot and cold. I’ve always had hangovers, but it still doesn’t seen to stop me having a few prosecco’s. The sparkling ones are the worst sort …..

My son could drink me under the table, I’m sure of it and I don’t know how he has managed to arrive in that place. Worrying

I find that the problem with this time of year ie Winter, is that I want to eat starchy foods and don’t have the desire to eat lots of fruit. The veg is fine and not eating meat means that I have to think harder about what to cook. My teen however isn’t into fruit or veg and wants ‘quick fix’ foods and has quite a restricted diet as a result. My husband and I eat pretty well generally.

Everything in moderation. Definitely with food in the belly as well. I’ve usually been around when the alcohol is consumed but teenagers can be sneaky devils

I would be happy to tell my son that I was the age he is now, but I know he would rather I didn’t 😉

If my teen asked me if he could go, the answer would be a resounding ‘NO!’ Far too young and if anything goes wrong, how would they handle it?

You sound like you’ve had a difficult time of it Les. Are you up to sharing that, or is it too soon?
