I worry all the time. Some people treat tenagers like aliens from another planet and they turn quiet nasty

I agree. It’s just too cringe to talk about.

Summer starts for us in week of 22nd July. what can you do with a 12 year old? He’s sensible, but wouldnt want to leave him on his own. to young to walk to mates houses and most of them heading to the sun anyway. any ideas?

A level lit is really important if he wants to do anything in journalism, marketing or simply to enjoy great books. I’d let him do wat he enjoys, then he’ll get a good result., If he hates reading, it won’t work

We had a disaster with another family – when their kids went ot bed at midnight and ours at 8pm. Wonder if groups of teenagers holidaying together is a good idea or whether us parents would have completely different expectations around drinking, smoking and everything else???????

I’ve learned to accept that I’m never gonna be a ballet or skating star, but the worst fear for me is pushing force dreams onto my kids. I do wish not being a celeb was appreciated by them. They should be saying – it’s not what you do but who you are that matters

Thanks Yvonne. Are chocolate covered brazil nuts ok for those teenagers who live on diet pepsi and chocloate?
